Marvin Miller

Marvin Miller, 80 of Mandan, and formerly of Hebron, died Wednesday, March 21, 2007 at Medcenter One in Bismarck. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM Central Time on Saturday, March 24, at the First Congregational UCC in Hebron with Pastor Marcy Dawson, officiating. Burial will be held in the First Congregational Cemetery in Hebron. Visitation will be on Friday from 4 until 8:00 PM at Spangelo Funeral Home in Hebron with a Prayer Service at 7:00 PM. Marvin was born January 12, 1927 at McIntosh, SD, the son of David and Alma (Hochhalter) Miller. He was raised on a farm South of New Leipzig, and attended rural school. He worked on the farm until he married Irene Koepplin March 8, 1947 at Wibaux, MT. Following marriage they farmed for many years until 1962 when they moved to Hebron and Marvin went to work for Hebron Brick Co. In the early 1980?s, for health reasons, Marvin stopped working at Hebron Brick Co. and began Marv?s Hobby Shop, a wood shop where Marv?s enjoyed countless hours created items out of Oak. In February of 2005 they moved to Mandan where they have resided since. Marvin is survived by his wife Irene, Mandan; two sons: Darold (Marie), and James all of Fargo, ND. Five grandchildren: Cody Miller, Sondra Jonk, Melissa French, Kari Triptow, and Chad Miller, and seven great grandchildren. He also leaves one brother: Harvey, Sheridan, WY; and two sisters: Ruby Hoffman, Bismarck and Irene Link, Elgin, ND.
