Private Funeral services for Mary Kaye Hledik, 58, of Dickinson, ND will be at 10 a. m. , Saturday, April 11, 2009 at Stevenson Funeral Home, Dickinson, ND with Pastor Tim Voth officiating. Burial will be in the Dickinson Cemetery at a later date. Visitation will be from 9 a. m. to 9 p. m. , Friday, April 10, 2009 at Stevenson Funeral Home, Dickinson, ND. Mary Kaye passed away Tuesday, April 7, 2009 at her home in Dickinson. Mary Kaye Splichal was born June 23, 1950 in Dickinson, ND to Jerry J. and Mildred (Salonick) Splichal. She grew up and attended schools in Dickinson and graduating from Trinity High School in 1968. She began working as a nurse?s aid at St. Joseph?s Hospital and later as the Activities director at St. Benedict?s for many years. Mary Kaye and Wayne Hledik were united in marriage on November 27, 1991. Wayne and Mary Kaye remained married until Wayne?s death in 2002. In 2004, Mary Kaye began working at Taco Bell, where she was the Senior Assistant Manager until the time of her death. She was her sister, Barb?s # 1 manager and she was irreplaceable. She was a second Mother to all the employees at Taco Bell. They looked up to her for advice suggestions and any input she may have. She was able to put a smile on their faces. Mary Kaye always went over and beyond to make sure everything was right for her sister Barb and Taco Bell. She had a love for Stock Car Racing, especially watching her nephew, Travis with his car. She had four Pomeranian dogs, which completed her family. She was so proud of Lacey, Lucky, Miss Misty and Black Jack. They have lost their # 1 provider. Mary Kaye is survived by her sisters, Jerri (John) Munson, Lakewood, CO, Shirley (Fred) Gengler, Dickinson, ND, Nancy (Larry) Keller, Gillette, WY and Barb (Dennis) Ulmer, Dickinson, ND; a special nephew, Travis Ulmer, Dickinson, ND; great nephew, Caden Jay Ulmer; special niece, Mindi Ulmer; numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by both parents and her husband, Wayne.
