Mary Hubert

Funeral Mass for Mary Hubert, 90, of Dickinson will be at 10:00 a. m. Wednesday, August 7, 2013 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Dickinson with Father Todd Kreitinger celebrating. Burial will follow at St. Elizabeth’s Cemetery in Lefor, ND. Visitation for Mary will be 12:00 p. m. to 9:00 p. m. on Tuesday, August 6, 2013 at Stevenson Funeral Home in Dickinson with a Rosary and Vigil service being held at 7:00 p. m. Mary passed away Saturday, August 3, 2013 at St. Alexius Medical Center, Bismarck, ND. Mary Hubert was born July 14th, 1923 to Bernard and Margaret (Lefor) Kirschenheiter on the family farm. She grew up on the family farm south of Taylor and attended country school through the eighth grade. On April 10, 1945 Mary married Ronnie Hubert at St. Elizabeth’s Catholic Church in Lefor, ND. The couple made their home on the Hubert farm, where they also raised their six children. The farm was home for Mary until 1991 when she and Ronnie retired and moved to Dickinson. She was blessed to live in her Dickinson home until July 2013. Mary was a very witty, positive and easy going lady. She was a great baker and cook and always had sweets ready for company. Mary was known as “Grandma Sweetie”. She enjoyed quilting, woodworking, puzzles, card playing, and her weekly visit to Jack’s Family Restaurant. She spent much of her time in the summers tending to her garden, raising fresh veggies and canning. Mary was a member of Christian Mothers, Homemakers, American Legion Auxiliary and Gladstone Senior Citizens. Mary is survived by her sons, Ronald (Susan) Hubert of Mansfield, OH; Daniel (Pat) Hubert of Mansfield, OH; Albert (Mary Lou) Hubert of Mansfield, OH; Leo (Charlene) Hubert of Dickinson, ND; Nelson Hubert (special friend, Mechelle) of Dickinson, ND; one daughter, Carol (Ed) Cowan of Mansfield, OH; nine grandchildren, Bruce, Lynn, Phillip, Brian, Kevin, Tosha, Abby, Curtis, and Chantel; and nine great-grandchildren, Collin, Jacob, Olivia, Carter, Allison, Kierstin, Kamryn, Danielle and Cooper; sister-in-law, Susie Kirschenheiter of Richardton; and brother-in-law, Ken Jacoby of Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronnie; parents; brothers, John, George and Frank Kirschenheiter; sisters, Eva Naumann and Annie Hubert; infant granddaughter, Chelsey and great-grandson, Colton.
