Mary Kadrmas, 93, Dickinson, died Tuesday, October 26, 2004, at St. Benedict?s Health Center, Dickinson. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a. m. , Saturday, October 30, 2004 at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church, Dickinson, with Rev. Austin Vetter celebrating. Interment will be in St. Wenceslaus Cemetery, Dickinson. Visitation will be 10 a. m. to 9 p. m. Friday, October 29, 2004 at Price-Murphy Funeral Home with a rosary and prayer service at 7 p. m. Mary Ficek was born July 2, 1911 in Dunn County, North Dakota to Frank and Ann (Bren) Ficek. She attended country school in Dunn County. She married Vitres Kadrmas on November 26, 1930 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in New Hradec. They started farming and ranching south of Manning and later moved the family to the Gladstone area for a short time. In 1943, Vitres and Mary settled on a farmstead northwest of Dickinson. They remained there until 1952 when Vitres sold the farm and moved the family into Dickinson. She worked the lunch counter at Greene Drug and at the Ramada Inn. She was a member of St. Patrick?s Catholic Church and Altar Society. She enjoyed crafts, crocheting, quilting and making afghans. Mary is survived by: three daughters, Elise (Howard) Miller, Great Falls, MT; Betty (Clarence) Binstock, Dickinson, and Mary (Ben) Pavlish, Dickinson; one son, Clarence (Beanie) Kadrmas, Bismarck; 13 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Tony (Betty) Ficek, Bismarck, Ed (Mary Ann) Ficek, Dickinson; two sisters, Mildred Kadrmas, Yakima, WA, Blanche Dvorak, Albany, OR. She was preceded in death by: her parents; husband; three sisters, Anna Barta, Emma Kadrmas, Lillian Crothers; one brother, Vince Ficek.
