Mary Kordonowy

Mary Kordonowy, 92, Dickinson, formerly of Belfield, died Thursday, February 27, 2003, at St. Joseph?s Hospital and Health Center, Dickinson. Divine Liturgy of Christian Burial will be 10 a. m. Monday, March 3, 2003, at St. John?s Ukrainian Catholic Church, Belfield, with the Rev. Taras Miles celebrating. Interment will be in St. John?s Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery, Belfield. Visitation will be at Price-Murphy Funeral Home on Sunday from 12 noon to 4 p. m. and beginning at the church at 5 p. m. with a Parastas at 7 p. m. Visitation will continue on Monday at the church one hour prior to the service. Mary Gregory was born February 16, 1911, in Billings County, North Dakota to George and Angelina (Pasicznyk) Gregory. On October 20, 1931, she married Nick N. Kordonowy at St. Demetrius Catholic Church, Belfield. They farmed 16 miles northeast of Belfield until retirement in 1965. Nick died on February 6, 1985. Mary moved to Dickinson in March of 1998 and resided at the Evergreen Inn. She was a member of St. John?s Ukrainian Church in Belfield. She was caregiver to many people. She enjoyed baking, decorating cakes for special occasions, gardening and sewing. Mary is survived by: one daughter, Eleanor (John) Adamski, South Heart, ND; three grandchildren, Bruce Adamski, Karen (Rick) Frechette and Gordon Adamski; two great grandchildren, Nicole and Devon; two sisters, Sr. Albina, Sloatsburg, NY, Kay Fuller, Turksberry, Mass; brother, Steve Gregory, Sacramento, CA and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by: her husband; her parents; sister, Ann and two brothers, John and Raymond.
