Mary Senn

A Liturgy of the Word Service for Mary R. Senn, 93, of Omaha, NE, formerly of Dickinson, will be 2:00 p. m. , Friday, June 3, 2016 at Stevenson Funeral Home, Dickinson with Deacon Bob Stockert celebrating. Inurnment will take place in Dickinson Cemetery. Visitation for Mary will be on Friday from 1:30 p. m. until the time of the service at the funeral home. Mary passed away on May 28, 2016 at Golden Living Center in Omaha, NE. Mary was born February 18, 1923 in Hettinger County, North Dakota, the daughter of Jerome and Leocadia (Zent) Greff. She was raised on a farm in the Mott, ND area. She was married to Frank Senn in January 1948. Frank passed away on July 21, 1992. Mary was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church. She was employed at St. Joseph’s Hospital as a Nurse’s Aide for 25 years. After that, she provided daycare in her home for many years caring for most of her grandchildren and many other children. She enjoyed gardening, canning, baking and embroidering. Mary loved to have family gatherings and will be remembered for her wonderful German potato salad, pickles, caramel rolls and borscht soup. Mary is survived by her son Jeff (Lori) Senn, Omaha, NE; daughters, Rita Engelman, Omaha, NE and Shirley (Bob) Meduna, Olathe, KS; 10 grandchildren, Chad Meduna, Melissa Jameson, Kelly (fiance` Tyler Glick) Senn Garr, Eric (Daphne) Senn, Kristen Senn, Cody (Courtney) Senn, Katie Senn, Kelsey Engelman, Jason Engelman and Alex Engelman; six great-grandchildren, Mackenzie and Berkley Senn, Gage Maccoy, Fallon Jameson, Emersyn Garr and Creighton Glick and sister-in-law, Pauline Greff of Dickinson. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jerome and Leocadia; son, David Senn; daughter-in-law, Roberta Senn; brothers, Joe, Simon and Mike Greff; sisters, Ida Greff, Margaret Senn, Frances Roth, Florence Frank and Maggie Krance.
