Maxine Gergen Dally passed away on Saturday, October 18, 2014, at Dahl Memorial Nursing Home in Ekalaka, Montana. Maxine McCamish was born in Belle Fourche, South Dakota on August 5, 1925, to Herbert and Sylvia McCamish. She was the oldest of six children. Maxine was raised on the family ranch at Ridgway, Montana. On September 7, 1941, she and William (Bill) Gergen were married. To this union four children were born, William “Willy”, Loretta “Susie”, Edward “Ed” and Danny. Maxine and Bill moved to Washington for a short period of time. However, their Montana roots called them back to Ridgway, Montana, where they resided until Bill’s death. Maxine worked with her husband Bill and carried mail on a rural contract route for 25 plus years. Mr. Gergen passed away on October 2, 1967. In January 1969, Maxine married Ewald Klevgaard. They traveled around the country while he did construction work and settled in Missoula, Montana. Maxine and Kleve traveled extensively, attended various activities and shows. Mr. Klevgaard purchased numerous precious stone jewelry for his wife. Later they moved to Broadus, Montana, where Mr. Klevgaard passed away in August 1993. After Mr. Klevgaard’s death, Maxine moved to Miles City, Montana, to be near some of her family. Later Maxine married Warren (Bud) Dally. They moved to Pinehurst, Idaho, and resided there until his death on March 21, 2012. During their marriage they took many trips and cruises. In April 2012, Maxine moved to Dahl Memorial Nursing Home in Ekalaka, Montana, and resided there until she passed away. Maxine is survived by her children, Willy (Ann) Gergen of Biddle, Montana, Loretta (Ron) Peabody of Quartzite, Arizona, Ed (Becky) Gergen of Miles City, Montana, Danny (Cindy) Gergen of Williston, North Dakota, sisters Areatha Penn, Roseann (Bill) Harst, brothers Herb (Georgetta) McCamish, and Tom (Mary) McCamish, 11 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by all three husbands, her parents, and her sister Fern.
