Melvin Geiger

Melvin Geiger, 53, Dickinson, died Saturday, December 30, 2006, at St. Joseph?s Hospital and Health Center, Dickinson. Funeral services will be 2 p. m. Wednesday, January 3, 2006, at Price-Murphy Funeral Home, Dickinson. Visitation will be Tuesday from noon to 9 p. m. with a prayer service and rosary at 7 p. m. Melvin Dale Geiger was born November 17, 1953, to his proud parents Henry and Catherine (Wolbaum) Geiger at St. Joseph?s Hospital and Health Center, Dickinson. He attended school in Dickinson and graduated from Dickinson High School. After high school he lived in Casper, WY and Denver, CO. A few years later he returned to Dickinson to work in the oilfield. At this time he met and married his loving wife, Wanda (Gatske) Geiger. From this marriage two children were born, Amanda Marie and Brant Henry. He enjoyed building and working with wood, riding his Harley and visiting with friends. He was a loving husband, great father, wonderful carpenter, friend to many and a generous man. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Melvin leaves behind his wife, Wanda; children, Amanda and Brant; his mother, Catherine Geiger, St. Benedict?s Health Center; sisters, Gladys Betlaf, Dickinson, Bernice Kuhn, Lefor, Kathy Dennis, Dickinson, brothers, Henry Jr. , Casper, WY and Alvin Geiger, Virginia Beach, VA. He was preceded in death by: his father, Henry and brother, Howard. God Bless his memory.
