Melvin Schuh

Funeral services for Melvin Schuh, 73, of Killdeer, will be 1:00 p.m., Thursday, May 18, 2017 at Stevenson Funeral Home, Killdeer with Pastor Karen Dvirnak officiating.


Visitation for Melvin will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.


In accordance with Melvin’s wishes, cremation has taken place.


Melvin passed away, Sunday, May 14, 2017 at CHI St. Alexius Health, Dickinson.


Melvin Schuh was born August 3, 1943, in Beulah ND, the son of Adolf and Ella (Weigum) Schuh. Growing up, he attended school in Beulah and worked at the town’s grocery store and various farming and construction jobs. He met and married Sharon Fandrick on June 13, 1969 in Manning. To this union their daughter Cheryl was born. Together they moved to Colorado for eight years for work before moving back to Killdeer. Melvin enjoyed fishing, watching sports, word searches and puzzles.


Melvin is survived by his wife, Sharon of Killdeer; brothers, Milo of Dickinson, Henry of Sarasota, FL; sister, Betty Geise of Beulah; nephews, Vance (Shelly) Geise, Chris (Randi) Schuh, Nathan Monette; nieces, Julie (Jeff) Singer, Shelly Zocker, Jennifer (Scott) Buckman and Caitlyn (Ryan) Innan.


He was preceded in death by his parents, Adolph and Ella Schuh; daughter, Cheryl; sister, Agnes Zacher; brother, Allen Schuh; brother-in-law, Norman Geise; and niece, Sheila Geise.
