Funeral services for Michael McCabe, 52, of Mandan, ND, formerly of Dickinson will be 3 p. m. , Thursday, January 10, 2008 at Stevenson Funeral Home, Dickinson, ND with Bernie Krebs officiating. Private burial will be at a later date. Mike passed away Sunday, January 6, 2008 of natural causes. Michael (Mike) was born March 31, 1955 in Texas, the son of William ?Mike? and Josephine ?Jo? Brunelle McCabe. He was raised and educated in Dickinson, ND, graduating from Dickinson High School. He enjoyed the outdoors but hunting and fishing were his favorite pastimes. Mike loved to bake and cook for all his little brothers and sisters, which was a trait he learned from his mom. He was a true ?people person?. Mike was best remembered for playing Santa Claus for the downtown merchants. Mike is survived by nine brothers, Patrick McCabe of Anchorage, AK; James McCabe (Doug Noaeill) of Anchorage, AK; Terry (Joyce) McCabe of Laingsburg, MI; Kevin (Ruth) McCabe of Dickinson; Robert (Patricia) McCabe of Dickinson, William (Caroline) McCabe of Sartell, MN; Daniel (Suzy) McCabe of Dickinson; Donald McCabe of San Francisco, CA; and Chad McCabe of San Diego, CA; five sisters: Kelly (Steve) Reiniger of Felton, CA; Maureen (Augie) Werner of Bismarck, ND; Kari (Marvin) Svihl of New Hradec, ND; Shari (Maynard) Schwindt of Dickinson, ND; Tracey McCabe of Dickinson, ND and twenty two nieces and nephewsHe is preceded in death by both of his parents; and one infant brother, John.
