Funeral Mass for Mike Boespflug, 92, of Dickinson, formerly of Glendive will be 10:00 a. m. Tuesday, February 20, 2007 at Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Dickinson with Rev. Jeff Zwack, celebrating. Visitation will be from 9:00 a. m. to 9:00 p. m. Monday at Stevenson Funeral Home with rosary and vigil services at 7 p. m. Interment will be in St. Joseph?s Cemetery, Dickinson. Mike S. Boespflug died on Friday, February 16, 2007, at St. Benedict?s Health Center in Dickinson after a long struggle. Mike was born on December 27, 1914 on a farm near Regent, ND to John and Mary Anna (Jahner) Boespflug. He attended country school by Regent to the 6th grade. On June 4, 1951, he married Ruth Griggs at St. Joseph?s Church in Dickinson. As a young man he worked in the C. C. C. throughout the Midwest and also on a dairy farm and later was a bricklayer and drove the Sweetheart Bread truck. Mike later worked construction and hard labor and did custodian work at the Sacred Heat School for nine years in Glendive. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus which he was a Fourth Degree Knight. He would give the shirt off his back to anyone who needed help and was a very compassionate, loving husband, father and grandfather. Mike was a prayer warrior he always told Ruth, God was #1 and she was #2 in his life. He was very active and involved in his church and was a Eucharistic Minister for many years. Mike is survived by: his wife, Ruth, Dickinson; two daughters, Kathy (Dan) Egemo, and Mary Ann Sutton, both of Dickinson; one son, Patrick (Deb) Boespflug, Billings, MT and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by, his parents, two sisters, and seven brothers.
