Funeral Services for Mildred Mae Braun 92, of Baker are 11:00 a. m. on Friday, August 13, 2004 at the American Lutheran Church, Baker. Interment will follow in the Bonnievale Cemetery. Visitation is Thursday from 9:00 a. m. to 9:00 p. m. at Stevenson-Mischel-Olson Chapel, Baker. Visitation will continue on Friday at the American Lutheran Church from 9:00 a. m. to service time. Mildred passed away on Sunday, August 8, 2004 at Fallon Medical Complex, Baker. Mildred was born August 19, 1911 in Willard, Montana to Joe and Anna Clara Votruba. Mildred attended Fertile Prairie Country School, Baker High School and Eastern Montana College, Billings where she received her teaching certificate. She returned to the Baker area where she taught at many rural country schools. She was married to Victor Harold Braun. They began farming in the Fertile Prairie area where they lived and raised their daughter, Linda. Mildred enjoyed gardening, sewing, reading and living on the farm. She continued to live there after Victor passed away in 1962. Due to failing health she moved to the Fallon Medical Complex in 2001 and had her home there since. Survivors include her daughter, Linda Braun Smith of Idaho Falls, ID; two granddaughters, Monica Smith, Helena and Lisa Smith and her husband Dean Addiego, Idaho Falls, ID; a great-grandson, Nicholas Addiego; a brother, Frederick Votruba, Baker, two sisters, Eleanor Votruba Halmans, Baker and Helen Votruba Loutzenheiser, Seaside, OR. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Victor; and a brother, Joe Votruba.
