A funeral Mass for Mildred A. “Millie” Jesch, 88, of Dickinson, will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, October 13, 2018 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church with Father Bill Ruelle celebrating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
Visitation for Millie will be from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Friday, October 12, 2018 at Stevenson Funeral Home with a rosary and vigil service taking place at 6:00 p.m.
Millie passed away Monday, October 08, 2018 in St. Cloud, MN.
Mildred was born June 24, 1930 in Dickinson, the daughter of Charles and Mary (Tupa) Kouba. Growing up she attended Horsewill School through the 8th grade and graduated from Regent Public High School in 1948. Mildred married Nick Jesch on September 13, 1948 at St. Henry’s Catholic Church in Regent. Their marriage was blessed with daughter, Debbie and son, Duane. Together the family farmed northwest of Regent. Mildred was the secretary at Regent Public School before moving to Dickinson. For 19 years, she enjoyed working for Jake’s Office Supply. Mildred was a delightful foster grandparent at Berg Elementary and she was a member of VFW Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed doing embroidery, playing cards on the computer, putting puzzles together, cooking and baking. Mildred especially loved spending time with the grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Mildred is survived by her daughter, Debbie (Aaron) Mittelstadt of Hayden, ID; son, Duane (Kathy) Jesch of Dickinson; seven grandchildren, Jason (Malinda), Jeremy (Michelle), Michelle (Mick) Gibbs, Michael (Amanda), Dustin, James (Nancy) Mittelstadt, Jina (Chad) Roll; 17 great-grandchildren; and sister, Mary Osowski.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Nick; parents, Charles and Mary Kouba; three brothers and five sisters.
