On September 12, 1955, Mildred married Leo J. Kuntz at St. Placidus Catholic Church in Mott. They were blessed with four children, Sharon, Gary, Jolene, and Brenda.
In 1970, she became a CNA for St. Luke’s Nursing Home in Dickinson. She worked in many departments, including the Restorative Room, Whirlpool Room, Alzheimer’s Room and the Christmas Chairman. She retired in 1995. Mildred touched the hearts of many through her work.
Mildred was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church. In her younger years, she sang in the choir, volunteered on the Altar Society, and was a funeral circle chairman. She was also a member of St. Pius Verein in Schefield.
Mildred enjoyed doing crafts, and loved to cook and bake. She will be remembered for her German dishes, which are still talked about to this day.
Mildred was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Mildred knew and loved her Lord, valued her friends and neighbors, and loved her family unconditionally with all of her heart.
Mildred is survived by her loving family members including her children, Sharon (Dave) Albrecht of Fessenden, Jo (Coke) Erickson of Dickinson, and Brenda (Curtis) Schmidt of Dickinson; grandchildren, Samantha Kuntz, Wayne Schmidt, Kyle Schmidt, Colin Schmidt, and Lexi (Darin) Tormaschy; great-grandchildren, Braden Kuntz and Sophia Tormaschy; brother, Walt (Rita) Steiner; and many nieces, nephews, and their families.
