Mildred ?Millie? Pavlicek, 88, Dickinson, died Thursday, January 26, 2006, at St. Benedict?s Health Center, Dickinson. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a. m. , Monday, January 30, 2006, at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church, Dickinson, with Fr. Jerry Kautzman and Deacon Bob Stockert, celebrating. Interment will be in St. Wenceslaus Cemetery, Dickinson. Visitation will be 1 p. m. to 9 p. m. , Sunday, January 29, 2006, at Price-Murphy Funeral Home, Dickinson, with a rosary at 7 p. m. led by Deacon Bob Stockert. Mildred ?Millie? Tuhy was born on January 17, 1918, in Dunn County, North Dakota to Joe and Mary (Appel) Tuhy. She was raised on the family farm and attended country school. On April 29, 1943, she married Joseph F. Pavlicek at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church, Dickinson. Mildred worked as a cook and chef at many local restaurants including the St. Charles Hotel and Ray (Ivanhoe) Hotel until she retired from her job as chef at the Ivanhoe Hotel. Millie also did volunteer work for R. S. V. P. , Evergreen Inn and House of Manna. She was a loving and caring mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Millie enjoyed playing cards, cooking, crocheting, gardening and watching old-time music programs and wrestling on television. Grandma?s caramel rolls and dill pickles were favorites of her family. She was extremely proud of her great grandsons? wrestling achievements. She is survived by: her daughter, Darlene (Jerome) Dukart, Dickinson; her son, Gilbert Pavlicek, Dothan, Alabama; her brother, Anton (Julia) Tuhy, Dickinson; her sister, Hattie Trinka, Portland, Oregon; five grandchildren, Cheryl (Kelly) Braun, Dickinson, Gerri (Jeff) Gbor, Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, Ryun (Ann) Pavlicek, South Carolina, Adam and Jackson (Cami) Pavlicek, California; six great-grandchildren, and four step-great grandchildren, Benjamin, Justin and Alex Brown, Menson Gbor, Caylen and Abigail Pavlicek, Alexis and Brian Braun, Jeffrey and Kahn Gbor. She was preceded in death by: her husband, Joe, who died in September of 1987; her parents, Joe and Mary Tuhy; five brothers, Louie, Charles, Adolph, Frank and Laudie Tuhy; four sisters, Minnie Pavlicek, Leona Pavlicek, Mary Pavlicek and Della Trinka.
