Norita passed away, Friday, May 06, 2011 at St. Alexius Medical Center in Bismarck.

Norita E. Goetz was born September 21, 1935 in Richardton, the daughter of Nickolas and Anna (Ostoj) Dinius. She grew up and attended school in Richardton, graduating from St. Mary’s High School in 1953. In November 1962, she married Arlan J. Goetz in a Catholic Church in California and stayed committed to him for the remainder of her life. To this union their combined children included; Connie, Mischelle, Joyce, Bernadette and Gregory. Norita began her career working in restaurants and through her years of dedication, she moved into upper management. Arlan and Norita resided in California for over 37 years, retiring in 1997 and moving back to Richardton. Norita was a member of the K of C Auxiliary and became the Grand Lady. She enjoyed playing bingo, traveling, and cooking. Her chokecherry and rhubarb jelly, cucumber salad, coleslaw, and homemade angelfood cake will be missed. Norita enjoyed making breakfast buffets for Bernadette and Dad at the farm. Everyone loved her bowls of candy that were always ready and out for everyone each holiday. Shopping and pull tabs were a fun pastime for her. She enjoyed vacations, especially to Salt ‘N Sea and traveling to visit her family. Norita enjoyed receiving cards and flowers from her family. If you knew Norita, you knew she was always ready to go from her hair to her toes with her hair done and make-up on. Norita was a people person and never really retired. She continued to work part-time in Dickinson. She later became a great-grandmother and enjoyed the long distance talks and spending time with her Jenna Jade, who became a fourth generation in her family. If you met Mom, there was no way you would forget her. She was very loving and caring person who left her mark. May she rest in peace and feel no more pain. There is an empty hole in our hearts. We would love to have her back, but she has gone away to spend time with others now. The kids would like to extend a very special thank you to Aunt Marlene and all the staff at St. Alexius Hospital in Bismarck.

Norita is survived by their children: four daughters; Connie Sue (Tommie) Mitchell, Kansas City, MO, Mischelle (Charles) Hinz, Troy, MT, Joyce Wright, Little Rock, AR, Bernadette Goetz, Richardton and one son; Gregory L. Goetz, Richardton; one brother, Melvin (Cheryl) Dinius, Coos Bay, OR; six sisters, Lillian Richardson, Forsyth, MT, Gloria Wanner, Dickinson, Sylvia (Wayne) Belile, Sterling, ND, Virginia (Dennis) Potts, Custer, MT, Marlene Dinius, Brooklyn Park, MN and Janice (Larry) Bestrom, Billings, MT; twelve grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and many special nieces and nephews, Sharon, Harlan, Elvis, Alberta, Dorleen, Carol and Amy to name a few.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Nickolas and Anna Dinius; her husband, Arlan; three brothers, Donald Dean, George and Leslie; and one sister Delores Styes.
