Funeral service for Norman Flink, 78, of Dickinson, ND will be 10:00 a. m. Thursday, April 9, 2009 at Stevenson Funeral Home with Father Keith Streifel officiating. Burial will follow in the North Dakota Veteran?s Cemetery in Mandan, ND. Military rites will be presented by the Dickinson Veteran?s Honor Guard. Visitation will be from 1 p. m. to 9 p. m. Wednesday, April 8, 2009 at Stevenson Funeral Home with Rosary and Vigil Service taking place at 7:00 p. m. Visitation will continue on Thursday from 8 a. m. to 10 a. m. Norman passed away Sunday, April 05, 2009 at his residence in Dickinson. Norman Flink was born July 17, 1930 in Stark County to Ferd and Mathilda ?Tillie? (Marthaller) Flink. He grew up on the family farm near Richardton, ND. He attended local grade school. Norman worked as a farm hand in the Manning area for several years before entering the U. S. Marine Corps. After serving for two years during the Korean War, he was discharged and returned home to Dickinson. On November 15, 1955, he married Marie Magdalene Wehner in Gladstone, ND. To this union were born four children, Randy, Russ, Tina and Pam. During this time, Norman worked as a carpenter on various construction projects around the Dickinson area. He loved fishing, playing guitar and singing. He enjoyed reading, especially Western Novels. He was a member of the German Hungarian and Eagles Club. Norman is survived by his sons; Randy (Mynden) Flink, Denver, CO, Russ Flink, Box Elder, SD; daughters, Pam (Pat) Praus, Lefor, ND and Tina Flink, Killdeer, ND; eight grandchildren, Travis, Alicia, Dillon, Tate, Madison, Brittnee, Wyatt and Grace; brother, Robert Flink, Butte, MT; sister, Delores Grasso, Butte, MT. He is preceded in death by both parents; one grandchild; daughter-in-law, Char; brothers, Joseph, Kenneth and Donald Flink and sisters, Irene Otonakoce, Isabelle Heinert and Hilaria Hange.
