Funeral Services for Oscar Heinle, 78, of Glen Ullin, ND, will be 1:00 p. m. CST, Monday, March 8, 2010, at First Congregational United Church of Christ in Glen Ullin, ND, with Pastor Marcy Dawson officiating. Burial will take place at Glen Ullin Cemetery. Visitation will be 2:00 to 5:00 p. m. CST, Sunday, March 7, 2010, at Spangelo-Stevenson Funeral Home in Glen Ullin. Oscar passed away on Wednesday, March 3, 2010, at Marion Manor HealthCare Center in Glen Ullin, ND. Oscar Heinle was born February 21, 1932, to William P. and Louise (Sayler) Heinle in Morton County. He grew up on the family farm southwest of Glen Ullin and attended the local country school. After school, he continued to help on the family farm and made his home here. In 1982, Oscar met Helen Anvik, friendship blossomed into love, and they were married on October 13, 1984, in Sidney, MT. The couple made their home in Glen Ullin. Helen passed away in 1996, and Oscar continued to make Glen Ullin his home. Oscar enjoyed ranching and visiting with friends. He was a member of the First Congregational United Church of Christ, Glen Ullin Lions and Dickinson Eagles. In the early 60s, Oscar enjoyed participating in rodeos and always enjoyed riding and having horses. In his later years, he enjoyed watching TV as well as dancing and traveling. Oscar will always be remembered for the love and kindness he showed to his nephews, nieces and close friends. He is survived by a brother, Elmer (Rosemary) Heinle, Mandan; sister, Isabell Dick, Peoria, AZ; nephews David and Fred; nieces Peggy, Debbie, Pam, Tammy, Melinda and Chandra; numerous great-nephews and great-nieces and a close friend, Robert (Pat) Johnson, Glen Ullin. Oscar was preceded in death by his wife, Helen; both parents; and sisters Maggie Kuykendall and Bernice Hirning.
