Funeral Mass for Ottilia ?Tillie? Fischer, 96, of Dickinson is 10:00 a. m. Saturday, September 24, 2005 at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Dickinson, with Father James Braaten celebrating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph?s Cemetery in Dickinson. Visitation will be Friday from 9:00 a. m. to 9:00 p. m. with a Rosary and Vigil Service at 7:00 p. m. at Stevenson-Mischel-Olson Chapel in Dickinson. Rosary will be led by the Christian Mothers and Vigil Services will be led by Deacon Bob Stockert. Tillie passed away Tuesday, September 20, 2005 at St. Joseph?s Hospital and Health Center in Dickinson. Tillie was born July 3, 1909 to Ludwig and Julia (Wandler) Roeder in Stark County. She grew up in Scheffield and attended school at Scheffield Country School. On November 5, 1929 Tillie married Frank Fischer at St. Pius Catholic Church in Scheffield. They began farming south of South Heart where they raised cattle, farmed and raised their family. In 1968, they moved to Richardton where they retired. In 1970, after the death of her husband, Tillie moved to Dickinson where she has made her home since. Tillie enjoyed a long and healthy life staying in her own home with her family. She loved family gatherings, playing cards, and crocheting. She was always noted for her good cooking and her family loved her food. Tillie also loved to sing with the German singers. In addition, she enjoyed gardening and canning her harvest, and avidly attending mass. She was a member of St. Ann?s Altar Society, Christian Mothers, St. Pius Verein, and St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church. She is survived by: Eight daughters: Irene (Bill) Bosch, Dickinson, Jeanette (George) Jablonsky, Sacramento, CA, Dolores (Dahn) Beaudoin, Minnetonka, MN, Marie Gregory, Thornton, CO, Kathleen (Bob) Deckert, Minot, ND, Florence (Ron) Fisher, Tucson, AZ, Bernie Fischer, Highlands Ranch, CO, Betty Heck, Dickinson; three sons: Stanley (Mary Ann) Fischer, Laurel, MT, Jim (Georgiana) Fischer, Billings, MT, Bill (Marcia) Fischer, Forsyth, MT; thirty-two grandchildren, thirty-eight great-grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren. She is preceded by: her husband, Frank; one daughter: Margie Heafner; three brothers; six sisters; two son-in-laws: Bill Gregory and Lavern Heck; and two grandsons: Raymond and David Bosch. The Family prefers memorials to St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church.
