Patricia Kroh

A funeral Mass for Patricia Kroh, 69, of Glen Ullin, will be 10:00 a. m. , Tuesday, February 17, 2015 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Jeff Zwack, Father Sebastian Schmidt OSB, and Abbot Brian Wangler OSB concelebrating. Burial will take place at a later date. A rosary and vigil service for Patty will be held at 6:00 p. m. CDT, Monday, February 16, 2015 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Patty passed away Wednesday, February 11, 2015 at the Marian Manor Health Care Center. Patty was born July 14, 1945 in Glen Ullin, the daughter of Mathew and Mary (Lang) Schafer. Growing up she attended the Sacred Heart Catholic School in Glen Ullin. After schooling, she worked at various food services. Patty married Gordon on August 16, 1962 in Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Glen Ullin. To this union they were blessed with Melissa, Holly, Eldon, and Wesley. Together they worked and raised their family in Richardton and Glen Ullin. She began cooking for the Richardton Abby in the early 1980’s and was there until 1997. In 2000, the family moved to Glen Ullin where they made their home since. She enjoyed flowers, and birdwatching which we loved feeding every day. Patty always loved to cook and bake. She especially adored her children and grandchildren. Patty and Gordon volunteered many hours to Meals on Wheels, delivering hundreds of meals. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Richardton and later a member Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Glen Ullin. Patty is survived by her husband, Gordon of Glen Ullin; daughters, Melissa Snow of Almont and Holly Steckler of Bismarck; sons, Eldon (Jennifer) Kroh of Mandan and Wesley (Lisa) Kroh of Mandan; grandchildren, Richard, Nicole, Robert, Daniel, Chad, Darcy, Danielle, Cody, Olivia, Rudolph, August, DeLainis, Gordon and soon-to-be baby Kroh; great-grandchildren, Mariah, Erikka, Aubrey, Elliot, Chance, and Caleb; and sisters, Joan (Ken) Meier of North Field, MN and Lillian Dinius of Pheonix, AZ. She is preceded in death by her parents Mathew and Mary; and brothers and sisters Curly, Irene, Polly, Arlene, Violet, John, Claudia, Duane & Larry.
