Funeral Mass for Patricia Kubas, 73, of Dickinson, ND NOTE DATE CHANGE FOR SEVICE: will be 10 a. m. , Wednesday, April 1, 2009 at Queen of Peace Catholic Church with Father Jeff Zwack celebrating. Burial will be in the Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery, New Hradec, ND. Visitation will be on 9:00 am to 5:00 pm Tuesday, March 31, 2009 at Stevenson Funeral Home continuing on Wednesday from 8am to 9 am at the Chapel. Pat passed away Wednesday, March 25, 2009 at St. Benedict?s Health Care center in Dickinson, ND. Patricia Sadowsky was born June 20, 1935 to Louie and Rose (Jilek) Sadowsky near New Hradec. She grew up and attended St?s Peter and Paul school in New Hradec. After school she continued to work on the family farm. On April 25, 1955 Pat and David Kubas were united in marriage in New Hradec, ND. Together they moved to the Kubas family farm where they raised their nine children. In her younger years, Pat enjoyed cooking, crocheting, flowers and gardening. The holidays were very important to Pat and many pies were made to celebrate the occasion. At Easter time, she was known for making Easter Bread for family members. She especially loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Pat and David enjoyed dancing and listening to old time music and watching Polka Joe. She loved to make the big dinners and always had dessert. Nobody ever left her home hungry. In 1989 David and Pat moved into Dickinson where they have made their home ever since. She was very active in the St?s Peter and Paul Catholic Church and making sure the kids attended CCD and Sunday school. She was a member of the Rosary Society of New Hradec. Pat was a member of Catholic Workman and Queen of Peace Catholic Church. She is survived by her husband David, her children: Kathy (Galen) Hibl, Dickinson, Wayne (Marla) Kubas, South Heart, Dean (Geri) Kubas, Dickinson, Dave (Mary) Kubas, Belfield, Delrey (Marchell) Kubas, Dickinson, Arlen (Dickie Jo) Kubas, South Heart, Charlene (Kevin) Hibl, Dickinson, Ivan (Kristi) Kubas, Dickinson and Terry (Lynn) Kubas, Dickinson; 24 grandchildren and three great grandsons; two brothers: Albert Sadowsky and Louie (Victoria) Sadowsky; three sisters: Lillian Bren, Beata Havelka and Beatrice (Emil) Rambousek, all of Dickinson; one sister-in-law, Charlotte Sadowsky from CT. Pat is preceded in death by her parents; infant twin daughters; two brothers, Larry and Victor Sadowsky; two sisters, Rose and Tillie Sadowsky; two brothers-in-law, Charles Bren, and George Havelka; sister-in-law, Elsie Sadowsky.
