Funeral services for Patricia ?Pat? Muecke, 84, of Dickinson, ND will be at 10:00 a. m. , Monday, January 18, 2010 at Our Saviour?s Lutheran Church, Dickinson, with Pastor Noel Vold officiating. Burial will follow at a later date at the Taylor Lutheran Cemetery, Taylor, ND. Visitation will take place from 10:00 a. m. to 7:00 p. m. Sunday, January 17, 2010 at Stevenson Funeral Home, Dickinson, ND. Visitation will continue on Monday, at the church, one hour prior to the service. Pat passed away Thursday, January 14, 2010 at St. Benedict?s Health Center, Dickinson, ND. Patricia Mae Strang was born April 2, 1925 in The Dalles, Oregon. When she was two years old Pat moved with her parents, Jay and Harriet (Mapes) Strang to North Dakota. She attended grade school in Mott, ND and graduated from New Leipzig High School. Pat attended Dickinson State Teachers College. While teaching at a rural school north of Gladstone, ND, Pat met and married Gordon Muecke on December 19, 1949 in Taylor, ND. They farmed north of Gladstone until Gordon received his teaching certificate. Gordon?s teaching career took them to many small towns throughout Montana and North Dakota. Pat enjoyed working as a Certified Nurse Assistant at St. Luke?s Nursing Home and Dickinson Nursing Center. She also enjoyed cooking, baking and entertaining friends and relatives. The last 25 years they lived back on the family farm. After Gordon?s passing in 2000, Pat made her home at Evergreen Retirement Center in Dickinson. In December, 2008, she moved to St. Benedict?s Health Center. Pat is survived by her daughter, Beverly (Milton) Myran, Gladstone, ND; grandchildren, Alan (Gayle) Myran, Trent (Lisa) Myran, Eric (Jodi) Myran; great grandchildren, Tanner, Hunter, Bradley, Kaitlyn, Brooklyn and Dylan. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gordon; sons, Rodney and Robert Muecke; brother, David Stang and a nephew.
