Patricia "Pat" Decker

A private Celebration of Life for Patricia “Pat” Louise Decker, 66, of Dickinson will be held at Stevenson Funeral Home. The family would like to invite you to share a memory on Pat’s online guest book listed below.

 Patricia “Pat” Louise Decker, a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother passed away on January 21, 2025, at her home in Dickinson, ND, after a long battle with cancer. Her passing has left a profound void in the hearts of her family and friends.

 Patricia was born on May 4, 1958, in Breckenridge, Minnesota, to Kathleen and Alvin Breuer. She was the youngest of five children and grew up in Wyndmere, North Dakota. Patricia attended the North Dakota State College of Science, where she earned an Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) degree in Dental Hygiene. She dedicated more than 30 years to her profession, serving her community with care and earning the admiration of her coworkers and patients alike.

 During her time at NDSCS, Patricia met many lifelong friends, as well as her husband of 40 years, Curt Decker of Dickinson, ND. They married on May 4, 1984, and built a loving life together, welcoming their daughter, Ashley, in May 1989, and their son, Wade, in May 1991.

Patricia was a kind and quiet soul who had a deep love for animals, books, history, art, and music. Her greatest love, however, was her family. She was a devoted mother and grandmother, cherishing every moment spent with her five grandchildren: Clay, Rhett, Emilia, Vaughn, and Trace.

 Patricia is survived by her husband, Curt Decker of Dickinson; daughter, Ashley (Nigel) Sims of Vancouver, WA; son, Wade (Carissa) Decker of Dickinson; grandchildren, Emilia and Vaughn Sims, and Clay, Rhett and Trace Decker; siblings, DeEtta (Keith) Boulis, Karol (Jerry) Koppy, Judy Breuer, and sister in law, Karen Breuer (Alvin Breuer Jr.). 

Patricia is preceded in death by both her parents, Alvin & Kathleen Breuer; brother, Alvin Breuer Jr; and mother in law, Irene Decker.
