Pat passed away Saturday, August 8, 2015 at St. Alexius Medical Center in Bismarck. Patrick Alvin Fisher was born December 1, 1948 in Dickinson, the youngest child to Albert and Anna (Faiman) Fisher. He grew up with his two sisters and brother on a farm north of Dickinson. Pat attended St. Patrick’s grade school and Trinity High School, graduating in 1966, where he met his future wife, Kathy Morey. After high school, Pat joined the ND National Guard, before marrying the love of his life, Kathy, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church on December 28, 1970. Pat and Kathy were blessed in love and family, raising three children, Tina, Todd and Traci. Pat loved spending time with his family, especially his four precious grandchildren. He enjoyed golfing, gardening, watching sports of any kind, and collecting many things, including model cars and clocks, both of which drove Kathy nuts! Pat loved his family and friends, especially those he made in his time at the Rock. The last 20 years were Pats most cherished memories. For the past two years, Pat had been battling cancer and traveled to Tulsa, OK biweekly for treatment. There, he and Kathy met many wonderful and caring people who worked very hard to make Pat’s battle as easy as possible. However, Pat’s battle ended peacefully in Bismarck, ND with his family close by his side. Pat is survived by his beloved wife, Kathy of 44 years; his children, Tina (Craig) Johnson, Todd (Trista) Fisher and Traci (Tori) Barnum, all of Dickinson; four precious grandchildren, Kylan Johnson (6), Trae (8), Tatum (5), and Terek (2) Fisher; brother, Roger Fisher of Dickinson; brother-in-law, Hank Grinsteinner of Dickinson; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews; and countless friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Bernice Grinsteinner and Beverly Schwindt; two brothers-in-law, John Schwindt and Jim Koppinger; and sister-in-law, Suzanne Gustafson.
