Funeral Service for Patrick Taylor Plummer, 96, of Beach, ND formerly of Baker, MT will be at 11:00 a. m. on Friday, July 8, 2011 in the Chapel of Stevenson Funeral Home in Baker, MT with Reverend Scott Hojnacki officiating. Interment will follow in Bonnievale Cemetery at Baker. Visitation will be 1:00 p. m. to 2:00 p. m. on Thursday, July 7th, in the Chapel of Angels at the Golden Valley Manor in Beach, ND and 5:00 p. m. to 9:00 p. m. at Stevenson Funeral Home in Baker with a Prayer Service at 7:00 p. m. Visitation will continue on Friday from 9:00 a. m. until the time of service. Pat passed away peacefully on July 3, 2011 at St. Joseph?s Hospital and Health Center in Dickinson with his family by his side. Patrick Taylor Plummer was born July 29, 1914 to Everett and Stella (Head) Plummer in Randolph, NE. As a child he moved with his family near Willard, MT. He attended country schools there and in the Ollie area, graduating from Ollie High School in 1932. In 1935, he married the love of his life, Edna Berg, and together they celebrated 68 years. Patrick was instrumental in forming the Horse Creek Grazing Association and the Goldenwest Electric Cooperative. He was an original incorporator of Basin Electric in Bismarck, ND and a 25 year Board member of the Upper Missouri G & T in Sidney, MT. He was a member of the Ollie EUB Church where he employed many country pastors to supplement their salaries. Pat was involved in ranching all of his life and closely followed all sports events his children and grandchildren were involved in. He especially encouraged his relatives to remain in agriculture. Pat will be remembered for his generosity to his family and friends. He always said you should leave this world better than you found it. And he did. Pat is survived by his son, Douglas (Judy) Plummer of Mandan, ND; his daughter, Loretta (Harold) Schlothauer of Fairview, MT; he was ?Gramps? to Sherry Plummer, Keith Plummer, Kevin (Kim) Plummer, Dirk (Laurie) Schlothauer and Lonna (Mike) Quast and two step-grandchildren, Cory (Lisa) Glaser and Jayme (Aimee) Glaser. He had 12 great-grandchildren and a special nephew, Dean (Karen) Wang and family; a sister, Bonnie (Manford) Jacki; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Marjory Plummer, Allan (Ruth) Wang and Dulane (Anna Mae) Wang and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Everett and Stella Plummer, his wife, Edna, his brothers and sister and their spouses, Elliot, Charles, Francis, Jim (Helen), Cecil (Mary) and Gloria (Ira) Smeltzer, and his brothers-in-law and sister-in-law and their spouses, Lee Roy Wang, Alma (Paul) Thoemke and Vic (Doris) Berg. The family prefers Memorials be made to the North Dakota Cowboy Hall Of Fame, Home On The Range, Golden Valley Manor or to the charity of your choice.
