The Mass of Christian Burial for Paul M. Bonicelli, 83, Dickinson, will be at 10:00 a. m. Saturday, February 24, 2007, at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Dickinson, with Fr. Jeff Zwack celebrating. Rosary and Vigil services will be at 7 p. m. on Friday at the St. Luke?s Chapel. Burial will be at a later date in Roseville, CA. Paul passed away February 14, 2007 at St. Luke?s Home, Dickinson. Paul Manuel Bonicelli was born on March 11, 1923, in Reno Nevada to Paulo and Maria (Sessano) Bonicelli. He grew up on a fruit ranch and attended school in Loomis, CA. Paul later attended Placer High School where he graduated in 1941. He continued on to Placer Jr. College for one year prior to his enlistment in the U. S. Army Air Corp. Paul served for three years in England and France. He participated in the Normandy Invasion. For his service to his country, Paul was awarded five Battle Stars. He was discharged on December 9, 1945. Paul married Wanda Bianchi on September 12, 1948. Paul continued to work at McClellan Air Force Base as an Aircraft Crew Chief and eventually was a specialist on the F-111 Fighter Jet on world wide call until his retirement. They made their home in Roseville, CA until 2002, when they moved to Dickinson, ND. Paul and Wanda made their home at Park Avenue Villa since. He was a life member of the American Legion Post # 169 of Roseville, CA, Sons of Italy, VFW of Dickinson and Queen of Peace Catholic Church. He enjoyed a life of airplanes by working on them as well as building radio-controlled airplanes. Paul loved watching his children and grandchildren?s activities. Survivors include: his wife, Wanda, Dickinson, ND; son, Paul (Barb) Bonicelli, Dickinson, ND; daughter, Ann (David) Wood, Del Mar, CA; five grandchildren, Lora (Jeremy) Johnson, Marietta, GA, Brian (Fianc?e, Briana Soine) Bonicelli, Colorado Springs, CO, John (Tanya) Bonicelli, Malvern, IA, Jacob Wood, Washington D. C. and Jessica Wood, Del Mar, CA; two great grandchildren, Cameron Bonicelli Johnson and Caden Bonicelli Johnson. He was preceded in death by: his parents and one great grandson, Casey Bonicelli Johnson. Memorials are preferred to Queen of Peace Parish, 725 12th Street West, Dickinson, ND 58601
