Hatzenbuhler on October 20, 1938 at St. Joseph?s Catholic Church in Dickinson. To this union five children were born, Ralph Jr. , Elaine, Joanne, LaVonne and Dale. Together they started their life in Dickinson, moved to Beach for a decade and in 1957 returned to Dickinson for more extensive health care for Ralph?s Multiple Sclerosis. Pauline was a wonderful seamstress and made many quilts for her family. She enjoyed arranging floral center pieces and gardening. She was a noted cook and baker and thoroughly enjoyed sharing her special meals and German pastries with others. Pauline especially enjoyed baking around the holidays. It was an unwritten rule at Grandma?s that, you had to eat when visiting whether you were hungry or not. Pauline was always concerned with other people?s well being. In her later years, Pauline enjoyed going to yard sales and had an eye for antiques. The family always said that Pauline drew her strength from Mother Mary and praying the rosary daily. She was a devoted wife and a loving mother to her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and will be deeply missed.
