Pete passed away Monday, July 29, 2024 at Sanford Health in Bismarck.
Peter “Pete” Jacob Remboldt was born on May 24th, 1974 in Jamestown N.D. to Dean and Terry (Krause) Remboldt. Pete grew up in Gackle, LaMoure, and Jamestown. At a young age he fell in love with sports and decided he wanted to go on and play football for Jamestown College. He graduated in 1996 with a teaching degree. His first teaching job was in Lakota. A student of his Jon Koski and his classmates introduced him to his wife of 25 years Jen.
Getting married on June 5, 1999, to Jennifer “Jen” Koski. Together they raised their 3 children; Chase (23), Gunnar (20), Jayda (17).
Pete loved supporting his kids and would travel all over North Dakota, South Dakota, and Minnesota to watch them play the sports they loved. One of his greatest joys was announcing his sons’ baseball games at Goldmann Field. He was a dedicated sports dad who sat through every one of Jayda’s elementary volleyball matches. Pete was proud of all their accomplishments and loved being present in their daily school lives.
Pete had many passions in life. He definitely had a soft spot for his students; always making them a priority. He taught high school math in Lakota and Gackle before he and Jen moved to Benson, MN where he taught math for 11 years. In 2012 Pete and his family moved to Glen Ullin when he became the High School Principal and then became Superintendent in 2021. While teaching he also could be found coaching multiple sports. Pete loved the outdoors, if you couldn’t find him in a classroom or coaching on the sidelines, you would find him out hunting and fishing with family and friends.
