Family servicefor Peter Anton,80, of Bowman, will be Friday, March 27, 2015 atStevenson Funeral Home, Dickinson with Bernie Krebs officiating. Peter passed away Monday, March 23, 2015 at CHI St. Alexius Medical Center in Bismarck. Peter Frank Anton was born September 8, 1934, the son of Josephand Anna (Klemm) Anton. He was born and raised on the family farm nearLefor, N. D. , where he also attended country school. Pete married Antonia Messer in 1956 in Richardton, N. D. Together they moved to Dickinson where Pete started working for Bailey’s Tire Store. From this Union Pete was blessed with eight children: Angela, Beverly,Cheryll, Randall,Lavonne, Lori, Lisa, and Stephanie. In 1969, they moved their family to Bowman where Pete started working for the Chevy dealership as a mechanic. He worked as a skilled mechanic for almost 20 years before retiring. Upon retirement, Pete moved back to the Dickinson area before returning to Bowman in 2012 where he has made his home since. Pete enjoyed dancing and playing cards. He was known for being a skilled mechanic. He was also known for his sense of humor and ability to make others laugh. Pete is survived by his daughters; Angela (Filandro) Silva of Oklahoma, Beverly (Dallas) Hedges andCheryllLindstrom of Wyoming, Lavonne(Bob)Schaff, LoriHansey, Lisa Anton, and Stephanie (Shaun)Lindstromall of North Dakota; son, Randall Anton of Wyoming; 25 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Mary Anton, of Dickinson, N. D. He is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Anna; two grandchildren; three brothers; and three sisters.
