Peter Dassinger

Funeral services for Peter A. Dassinger, 70, of Dickinson, ND will be 11:00 am, Saturday, February 13, 2010 at Stevenson Funeral Home in Dickinson with Pastor Bob Karie officiating. Burial will be at a later date. Visitation will be Friday, February 12, 2010 from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm at Stevenson Funeral Home continuing on Saturday until service time. Peter passed away Tuesday, February 9, 2010 at St. Alexius Medical Center in Bismarck, ND. He was born on April 18, 1939 the son of Pete and Magdalene (Wollman) Dassinger. Pete attended country school south of Lefor, ND. He began working for area farms for several years. Peter worked for Husky?s Briquette Plant for over 25 years and only retiring due to ill health. Pete continued to make Dickinson his home. He enjoyed old time music listening to polkas and waltzes as well as country music. Pete was a collector of many things. He especially loved and enjoyed his grandchildren and getting together and telling stories and jokes. He was a past member of the St. Anthony?s Club of Dickinson. Survivors include, three daughters, Jennifer Dassinger, Sophia Kelly both of Dickinson, ND and Carmen Dassinger, Kerning, Nebraska; two brothers, Kenneth Dassinger, Miles City, MT; and Roland (Grace) Dassinger, Chaska, MN; four sisters, Evelyn (Leo) Dorval, Eleanor Zastoupil, Betty (Steve) Syminow and Dorothy Reager all of Dickinson, ND; and four grandchildren, Elexandra, James, Mercedes and Conner. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Conrad and George; a sister, Johanna Krenzel; two brother-in-laws, Adolf Zastoupil and Bernard Krenzel; a nephew Christian Krenzel; and a niece, Arlene Koppel.
