Peter S. Raab, 79, Dickinson, died Saturday, January 4, 2003, at St. Joseph?s Hospital and Health Center, Dickinson. Mass of Christian Burial will be 1 p. m. Wednesday, January 8, 2003, at St. Elizabeth?s Catholic Church, Lefor, with Fr. Lawrence Wagner, O. S. B. celebrating. Interment will be in St. Elizabeth?s Cemetery, Lefor. Visitation will be 4 p. m. to 9 p. m. Tuesday at Price-Murphy Funeral Home with rosary at 7 p. m. Peter S. Raab was born January 15, 1923, in Lefor, to Michael and Susana (Walary) Raab. He attended Shipley School #2 through the eighth grade. He helped out on the family farm northwest of Lefor. He married Rose Kubishta on November 18, 1946, at St. Joseph?s Catholic Church, Dickinson. Together they farmed the family farm until retiring, in his later years. He loved to hunt, play cards, visit with friends and neighbors, travel, his cattle, and take a Sunday drive. Peter was a member of St. Elizabeth?s Catholic Church, German-Hungarian, Eagles, and the Gladstone Wildlife Club. He is survived by his wife, Rose, Dickinson; one daughter, Shirley (James) Smith, Grand Forks; five sons, Harlan, Rapid City, S. D. , Curtis (Jeanette), Mandan, Gerald, Las Vegas, Nev. , Melvin, Dickinson, and Timothy (Mary), Dickinson; 14 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren; four sisters, Margaret Anton, St. Luke?s Home, Dickinson, Ann (John) Weiler, White Sulphur Springs, Mont. , Kathryn (Pete) Schmidt, Yakima, Wash. , and Mary (Louie) Schmidt, Dickinson; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two sons, Marvin and Richard; his parents; three brothers, Adam, Mike and Steve.
