Mass of Christian Burial for Philip Reisenauer, 93, of Dickinson is Thursday, December 5, 2002, 10:00 a. m. at St. Joseph?s Catholic Church with Father Dennis Schafer, celebrating. Interment will follow at St. Joseph?s Cemetery. Visitation is Wednesday from 9:00 a. m. to 9:00 p. m. with a rosary at 7:00p. m. followed by a vigil service led by Sister James Messer at Stevenson-Mischel-Olson Chapel. Philip passed away on Monday, December 2, 2002, at St. Joseph?s Hospital. Philip, the son of Mike & Elizabeth (Ott) Reisenauer, was born August 24, 1909 in Dickinson, ND. He attended a rural country school for eight years. He was married on November 25, 1941 to Kathryn Messer at St. Joseph?s Catholic Church. He and his wife farmed southeast of Dickinson for 34 years. He had a true love for farming. In 1975 they retired and then in 1980 they moved to Dickinson, where Philip resided until his passing. Throughout his life he loved his grandchildren & great grandchildren, reading, gardening, playing solitaire, fixing things, and entertaining company. He was a lifetime member of St. Joseph?s Catholic Church. Philip will be greatly missed by his friends and family. Survivors include four sons: James Reisenauer, Donald (Marlene) Reisenauer, Phil (Debbie) Reisenauer and Francis (Mary) Reisenauer all of Dickinson, ND; two daughters: Marie (Pete) Betchner of Dickinson and Ann (Linus) Evinger of Halliday ND; 23 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren; one brother Nick (Caroline) Reisenauer of Dickinson, ND. He was preceded in death by his wife Kathryn Reisenauer; daughter-in law: Mary Elizabeth Reisenauer, three sisters Emma Thielen, Regina Lantz, and Magdalen Messer; two brothers: George Reisenauer and Joseph Reisenauer; one grandson: Daniel Betchner.
