Mass of Christian Burial for Philippine A. Frank, 90 of Dickinson is 11:00 a. m. Monday, September 26, 2005 at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Dickinson, with Father James Braaten celebrating. Burial will follow in St. Mary?s Cemetery in New England. Visitation will be Sunday, September 25, 2005 from 9:00 a. m. to 9:00 p. m. with a Rosary and Vigil Service at 7:00 p. m. at Stevenson-Mischel-Olson Chapel led by Deacon Al Schwindt. Monday visitation will be from 8:00 a. m. to 10:00 a. m. at Stevenson-Mischel-Olson Chapel. Philippine passed away Wednesday, September 21, 2005 at her home in Dickinson. Philippine was born July 6, 1915 on the family farm south of South Heart, the daughter of John and Katherine (Paul) Huschka. She grew up and attended country school while working on the family farm. Philippine worked at the S & L Clothing Store and the hospital in Dickinson. On November 20, 1946 she was married to Joe W. Frank at South Heart. They moved to the farm south of New England where they farmed and raised their family. In 1969 they retired and moved to Dickinson where they made their home since. Philippine enjoyed gardening, sewing, crocheting, playing cards and being around young children. Her special love was for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a member of St. Ann?s Altar Society and St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church. Philippine was very faithful to her church. Survivors include three sons: Charles Frank of New England, ND, Daniel (Betty) Frank of New England, ND and James (Arlene) Frank of Beulah, ND; one daughter, Eileen (Clement) Decker of Bismarck, ND; a daughter-in-law, Patti Frank of New England, ND; two sisters: Mary (Joe) Jedlicka of Delavan, WI and Cecilia (Vincent) Heidt of Delavan, WI; seventeen grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Joe; a son, Donald Frank; an infant daughter, Mary Frank; four brothers and two sisters.
