Funeral Services for Philomena ?Minnie? Pavlicek, 89, of Dickinson is 10:00 a. m. , Tuesday, June 17, 2008 at Stevenson Funeral Home in Dickinson. Burial will be in the St. Wenceslaus Cemetery, Dickinson. Visitation will be from 1 ? 9 p. m. , Monday, June 16, 2008 with a Rosary & Vigil being recited at 7:00 p. m. at Stevenson Funeral Home. Visitation will continue on Tuesday from 8 a. m. until one hour prior to the service. Minnie passed away on Friday, June 13, 2008, at the Prairieview Nursing Home in Underwood, ND. Philomena and ?Minnie? to most was born on September 7, 1918 the daughter of Thomas and Emma (Hanel) Ficek. She attended country school in the Manning area. Minnie was married to Adolph F. Tuhy on November 19, 1941 at New Hradec. Together they farmed in the Manning area and later Northeast of Killdeer. After the death of Adolph in 1963, she married Frank G. Pavlicek in May of 1965. Frank has also passed away. They enjoyed farming wheat, barley, and other small grain crops along with raising cattle, baby chicks, chickens and milking cows. Minnie enjoyed fishing, gardening, playing cards with family, friends and was a member of St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church. She is survived by her daughter, Carleen Porten, Mandan, ND; three grandchildren, Krista (Erik Sunderland) Baumann, Candace Porten and James Porten; two great-grandchildren, AuBrielle and Braeden; a sister, Mary (Hubert) Knopik, Dickinson; and a sister-in-law, Irmgrad Ficek, Dickinson. Minnie was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands Adolph and Frank; a brother, John Ficek and an infant brother.
