RJ was born on July 18, 1983, to Randy and Sherry (Hutton) Stambaugh in Kansas City, Kansas. He graduated from Sturgis Brown High School, Sturgis, South Dakota in 2001. Soon after, RJ moved to Sidney Montana where he lived until his death. RJ had an unbelievable passion for classic cars, especially his 1965 Mustang and 1966 Chevelle Malibu. He loved listening to classic rock and roll. Watching and quoting movies and playing video games were his favorite pastimes with friends and family. He really enjoyed going to the Yellowstone River to fish and he would spend all day there and not worry if he got one bite! He would always get too excited and reel in the line before the fish had a chance. Just being out in the open by the river was enough. RJ particularly enjoyed wood-working and carpentry. He made many beautiful pieces of furniture for his family which will always be cherished. RJ was a very affectionate man with a very big and kind heart. The phrase, ?I love you!? was uttered several times a day to close family. RJ was selfless and good. He would do anything for you if he knew it would bring a smile into your life. RJ is best remembered by all who knew him as the kindest, most loving person. RJ lived his life in a complete service to God. Since the day that he was saved when he was five years old, his faith continued to grow. He enjoyed reading the bible and learning anything and everything he could about Jesus. He also spent much of his time drawing crosses and heavenly gates. We will miss him every day, but are thankful for the many memories and in our hearts we have no doubt where he is today. He is survived by his parents, Sherry and Randy of Sidney Montana, his sister, Jennifer and Bryan Reuter and nephew, Brayden of Sidney Montana, his brother, Jarrod and Sunny Stambaugh and nephew, Jaden and niece Savanna of Grand Junction Colorado, his maternal grandmother, Jennie Hutton, of Ekalaka Montana, and many very special relatives and friends. RJ is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Joseph ?Dude? Hutton and his paternal grandparents, Joe and Janice Whitacre. Memorials may be made to the Stambaugh family. Arrangements are under the care of Stevenson Funeral Home of Ekalaka, MT.
