Funeral Mass for Ralph Binstock, 84, of Dickinson will be 2:00 p. m. , Friday, September 28, 2007 at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Dickinson with Father Jeff Zwack, celebrating. Burial will follow at St. Mary?s Catholic Cemetery, South Heart. Visitation will be from 9 a. m. to 9 p. m. Thursday, September 27, 2007 with a Rosary and Vigil at 7:00 p. m. at Stevenson Funeral Home in Dickinson. Visitation will continue on Friday from 8 to 11:30 a. m. at the chapel and one hour prior to the service at Queen of Peace Catholic Church. Ralph passed away Monday, September 24, 2007 at St. Luke?s Home in Dickinson. Ralph was born on February 27, 1923 on the family farm south of South Heart, ND. He attended country school in the Scenic School District. As a young man, he worked with his parents on the farm. Ralph was married to Eva M. Froehlich at South Heart on June 4, 1946. They purchased the family farm where they farmed, milked cows and raised their family. In 1962, they expanded their dairy production and in 1973 they added a new dairy barn with a milking parlor. The dairy farm is still operated today by two of his sons. Ralph and Eva semi-retired and moved to Dickinson in 1988. He continued to make daily trips to the farm and would help out wherever he was needed. Ralph enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing cards (pinochle), listening to old-time music, dancing and snowmobiling. Ralph enjoyed going to auctions and was always proud of some of the treasurers that he purchased. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, St. Anthony?s Club, St. Pius Verein and Eagles Aerie #2328 all of Dickinson. Survivors include, his wife, Eva, Dickinson, ND, four sons; David (Joyce) Binstock, Dickinson, ND, Dale (Jane) Binstock, Dickinson, ND, Jeffrey (Lori) Binstock, South Heart, ND, Michael (Sara) Binstock, Dickinson, ND, four daughters; Gladys (Rex) Mitchell, Ft. Collins, CO, Marcy (Dennis) Schmidt, Elgin, ND, Judy (Jerry) Tuhy, Killdeer, ND and Paula (Fred) Lengowski, Dickinson, ND; a brother, Vincent (Mary Ann) Binstock, Belfield, ND, three sisters; Theresa Lantz, Dickinson, ND, Eva (Louie) Kuylen, Sidney, MT and Frances Kordonowy, Billings, MT; a sister-in-law, Anna Binstock, Dickinson, ND; 18 grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, four step-great-grandchildren and one step great-great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Clement, Louie and Fritz and three sisters, Anna Decker, Magdalen Helfrich and Regina Froehlich. Memorials may be made to St. Luke’s Home, Dickinson or or Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Dickinson.
