Randy passed away Monday, April 30, 2012 at St. Alexius Medical Center in Bismarck after a short but courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by his loving family.

Randall Larry Morman was born October 11, 1953 in Mandan, ND, son of Larry and Leona (Weiand) Morman. He grew up in Glen Ullin and attended the Sacred Heart grade school, later graduating from Glen Ullin High School in 1971. As a young man, Randy enjoyed carpentry and later worked with Earth Builders and Meyer Construction. On June 10, 1978, Randy and Mary Nelson were united in marriage at Hillsboro, ND. To this union two children; Sarah and Jordan were born. Together, the couple made their home in Glen Ullin where they raised their family. Randy began working for Century Construction and soon became their asphalt plant operator, a job he managed until 2012. Randy loved his family; most of all his children and was looking forward to the arrival of his first grandchild. On May 2, 2012 just two days after his passing, his first grandchild Amelia Lyne Cherney was born. Grandpa Randy will be her guardian angel forever. He also enjoyed fishing, and attending sporting events; making an annual family trip to watch the Minnesota Twins. Randy also loved his Green Bay Packers and was overjoyed when he received a care package with autographed memorabilia from Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers. Randy and Jordan took a dream trip to Green Bay in December of 2010 to watch their beloved Packers play, as well as tour the stadium and their Hall of Fame. Randy was a lifetime member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He will always be remembered for his infectious smile along with his desire to always take care of everyone else first.

Randy is survived by his mother, Leona Morman of Bismarck; his wife, Mary of Glen Ullin; daughter, Sarah (Jason) Cherney and granddaughter Amelia Lyne of New Hope, MN; son, Jordan (special friend, Kayla Schmidt) of Bismarck; sisters, Carla (Dale) Mowder and Kelly Glasser both of Mandan; brother, Scott (Brenda) Morman of Glen Ullin; mother-in-law, Cecelia Nelson of Hillsboro; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Larry Morman; maternal grandparents, Nick & Helen Weiand; paternal grandparents, Charles & Amalie Morman; and father-in-law, Alvin Nelson.

Memorials may be made to the Randy Morman Memorial Cancer Fund. This fund will help area families with expenses while battling cancer. The fund will be set up through the Bank of Glen Ullin.
