Funeral Mass for Ray Shroeder will be held at 10:00 a. m. , Wednesday, November 17, 2004, at the St. Elizabeth?s Catholic Church in Lefor, ND with Father Basil Atwell, O. S. B. officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Elizabeth?s Cemetery in Lefor. Rosary will be said at 7:00 p. m. on Tuesday, November 16, 2004 at the Stevenson-Mischel-Olson Chapel in Dickinson. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 12:00 p. m. to 9:00 p. m. continuing on Wednesday one hour prior to service at the St. Elizabeth?s Catholic Church. Ray George Shroeder 79, of Sacramento, CA formerly of Lefor passed away on Sunday, November 7, 2004 in Sacramento. He was born December 29, 1924 in Dickinson the son of Nick A. and Ann T. (Yesch) Shroeder. Ray grew up and attended schools in Lefor. After graduating from Lefor High School, Ray moved to California. He served in the US Army and was honorably discharged. Ray took a course in accounting at the Healdu College and worked for the state of California for 28 years. Ray loved old time polka music and was president of the Vrein Club for 17 years. The Vrein Club gave him special recognition and services. With his German/Hungarian background, Ray enjoyed dancing, being with people and making them happy with his great joking personality. He will be truly missed by all. Survivors include a brother, Edward Shroeder of Sacramento, CA; a sister, Ann Kadrmas of Dickinson and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Nick J. Schroeder and a sister, Pauline Schuld.
