Funeral Service for Raymond (Ray) Bozekowski, 80, of Dickinson, ND, will be 1:00 p.m., Monday, October 15, 2012 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Dickinson with Father Todd Kreitinger celebrating. Military rites will be provided by the Dickinson Honor Guard. Burial will follow in St. Patrick’s Cemetery.
Visitation for Raymond will be 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Sunday, October 14, 2012 at Stevenson Funeral Home with a Rosary and Vigil service being led by Deacon Ron Keller at 4:00 p.m.
Ray passed away Thursday, October 11, 2012 at St. Luke’s Home in Dickinson.
Ray was born July 7, 1932 in Grafton, ND, the son of John and Natalie (Stoltman) Bozekowski. He was reared on the family farm near Warsaw, ND. Ray attended school in Warsaw and Minto, graduating from Minto in 1950. He received an honorable discharge for his service in the Korean War Conflict from 1953 to 1955. Ray and Jeanette Horejsi were married on September 6, 1955 at St. John’s Catholic Church in Grafton, ND. He worked for Bridgman Creameries in Grafton and East Grand Forks, MN. In 1967, he began working for Cloverdale Foods in Mandan as a sales supervisor and later with Western Dairies in Dickinson. He was also a custodian at Dickinson High School for twelve years, before early retirement because of a disability. Ray enjoyed spending time with his family, reading and playing pinochle. Ray was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, KC Council 1515, and the American Legion. He was an usher at St. Patrick’s, a Ministry of Praise member and a rosary maker. Raymond was devoted to daily Mass and the Divine Mercy Chaplet.
Ray is survived by his wife, Jeanette of Dickinson; sons, Kim (Cindy) Bozekowski of Littleton, CO and Mark Bozekowski of Englewood, CO; daughters, Coreen Markwell of Littleton, CO and Brenda (Jerrod) Milton of Littleton, CO; grandchildren, Ashley, Alyssa, and Joel Bozekowski, Breanna and Blair Markwell, and McKenna and Cameron Milton.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, Casimer and Vern.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be given to St. Patrick’s Catholic Church.
