Funeral Mass for Raymond Fettig, 75, of Taylor, will be 9:30 a.m., Thursday, July 23, 2020 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Richardton with Father Thomas Wordekemper, OSB, celebrating. Burial will follow at St. Mary Cemetery.
Visitation for Ray will be 5:00-7:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 22nd at Stevenson Funeral Home with a rosary and vigil service being held at 6:00 p.m.

Raymond passed away from Cancer on Sunday, July 19, 2020 at his home.
Raymond Nick was born in Richardton on January 19, 1945, the son of Sebastian and Anna (Hauck) Fettig. He grew up on the family farm north of Richardton and attended country school before moving into Richardton when his family purchased the Locker Plant and Café. Ray graduated from Richardton High School in 1963. He joined the Army National Guard in 1966 and served through 1972. He married Charlene Schorch in 1967 and their marriage was blessed with three children, Rhonda, Jay and Michelle. Ray owned and operated Fettig’s Custom Meats for 17 years before selling it. He also drove truck for P & B Transport for 15 years. During his retirement, he drove the activities bus for Richardton-Taylor Public School and took great joy in his time there, always cheering on the Raiders. Ray married Virginia Hoff Siller on August 23, 2002. He was active in his community, founding the Richardton Businessman’s Association, served on the Taylor City Council and school board, and helped establish the Hebron Trap Club. He took great pride in making custom gun stocks. Ray enjoyed bowling, fishing, hunting and register trap shooting where he excelled and met people from all over the country at various competitions throughout the country. Ray especially loved time spent with his children, grandchildren and family. He was very proud of all their accomplishments.
Ray is survived by his wife, Virginia; children, Rhonda (Pat) Grenyo of Fargo; Jay (Wendy) Fettig of Bismarck, Michelle (Darren) Haley of Bismarck; Renee (Robbie) Ellis of GA, Eric (Jennifer) Siller of PA; grandchildren, Payton Drengson, Dominic Fettig, Blake Grenyo, Noah Fettig, Adam Fettig, Reagan Haley, Annie, Greg and Ben Siller, Reese Ellis; sisters, Patricia (George) Dutra of St. Paul, MN, Mariann (Tom) Voegele of Richardton, Melinda Andrews of Seattle, WA; brother-in-law, Don Portscheller, George Hoff, Dickinson, Chuck (Mary Ann) Hoff, Dickinson, Roger (Linda) Hoff, WA; sister-in-law, Marie Ulmer; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Sebastian and Anna Fettig; brother, Duane Fettig; sister, Darlene Portscheller; brother-in-law, David Andrews.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to: St. Mary Catholic Church, Assumption Abbey or St. Mary Cemetery of Richardton.
