Funeral Services for Raymond H. Schell, 71, of Baker, MT will be at 2:00 p. m. on Monday, June 15, 2009 in the Chapel of Stevenson Funeral Home in Baker, MT with Pastors Bruce & Reba Kolasch officiating. Interment will follow in the Schell family lot in the Peace Lutheran Cemetery at Plevna, MT. Visitation will be 10:00 a. m. until the time of service on Monday. Raymond passed away on Thursday, June 11, 2009, at the Fallon Medical Complex Nursing Home in Baker, MT. Raymond Schell was born in Ismay, MT on February 20, 1938, a son of Jacob Jr. and Luella Louise (Ehret) Schell. Raymond grew up on the Schell farm outside of Ismay. Raymond lived the life of an average young boy until he was five years old when he suffered a severe reaction to a small pox vaccination. His life would be forever changed. Raymond lived in various places throughout Montana including, Boulder, Glendive, and Bozeman where he met and made many friends. Raymond enjoyed having coffee with his family and friends, eating chocolates, bowling, listening to Country Music and would sing his favorite song, ?You are My Sunshine?. Though he faced many challenges through out life, his family loved him unconditionally. In his final hours, his brothers and sisters surrounded him with their love and care to the end. Raymond is survived by his brothers, Clarence (Dolores) Schell of Baker, MT, Lloyd (Marge) Schell Sr. of Billings, MT and Larry (Janice) Schell of Baker, MT; his sisters, Alice Turner and Florence Haga both of Baker, MT and Mary Ann Lecoe of Marmarth, ND; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jacob and Luella, an infant brother, Vernon and a sister, Lillian Case. Arrangements are under the care of Stevenson Funeral Home of Baker, MT.
