Regina passed away Tuesday, January 26, 2016 at her home near Gladstone. Regina Raab was born March 14, 1931 in Dickinson, the daughter of Adam and Theresa (Anton) Raab. She grew up and attended school at Lefor, ND. After graduation from Lefor High School, she taught for a number of years at country schools close to her parents’ home. She decided to make teaching her career and went on to earn her Teaching Degree from Dickinson State Teacher College. After college she taught as a first and second grade teacher in the Mott, ND grade school. Regina was a dedicated teacher at Mott Public School, until her retirement; making an impact in the lives of many young students. On February 16, 1957, Regina and Robert Roth were united in marriage in Mott. Together they purchased sole ownership of Roth Excavation. They designed and built a new home in Mott, which they moved southwest of Gladstone after retiring in 1997. She kept very busy taking care of both her home and yard as well as helping her brother with their farmstead. Regina and her husband enjoyed traveling on extensive trips to various historical places. After the death of her husband and brother Irving, Regina assumed full responsibility for the farmstead as well as her home. She was very fond of her many pet cats and kittens at both places, and made daily trips from her home to the farm to care for the ones there and see that all was well at the farm. Regina is survived by many special friends, many of whom helped her with various work projects, gave her rides to town, bought her groceries and supplies, took her to visit gravesites of Bob and her family and to other special events, and brought occasional meals to her home. She is also survived by numerous cousins and distant relatives. She is preceded in death by her parents, Adam and Theresa Raab; her husband, Robert; and brother, Irving.
