A Funeral service for Reinhardt “Reiny” Gruebele, 85, of Glen Ullin, will be 10:30 a.m., CDT, Tuesday, April 28, 2015 at Zion Lutheran Church in Glen Ullin with Pastor Toby Heller officiating. Burial will take place in the Glen Ullin Cemetery.
Visitation for Reiny will be 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. CDT, Monday, April 27th at Spangelo-Stevenson Funeral Home in Glen Ullin with a prayer service being held at 7:00 p.m.
Reiny passed away Friday, April 24, 2015 at Marian Manor in Glen Ullin, ND.
Reinhardt “Reiny” Gruebele was born August 31, 1929, in Elgin, the son of William and Sara (Diehl) Gruebele. He grew up on the family farm and attended school in Elgin through the seventh grade. Reiny worked on the farm, four miles west of Elgin and one day met Elvera Pekas. On June 20, 1954, they were married in Mott. Reiny and Elvera made their home on the family farm for six years. They were blessed with two daughters, Tamera & Marcy. Reiny and Elvera moved to Bismarck for a short time before making their home in Glen Ullin. Reiny owned and operated Reiny’s Body Shop until his retirement in 2000. Over the years Reiny sponsored teams for the local bowling league, he enjoyed building scaled down horse-drawn antique farm equipment, fishing, playing pool, camping and traveling in the motorhome across the country and riding motorcycle.
Reiny is survived by his wife, Elvera; daughters, Tamera Weiser (fiancé, Kurt Leben) of Bismarck and Marcy Kelley of Castle Rock, CO; grandchildren, Luther Weiser, Jasmine Weiser, and Erin Kelley; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Eleanor Roth and Lorraine Hirning.
