Richard Dolecheck

Funeral Mass for Richard A. Dolecheck, 76, of Bismarck formerly of Dickinson, will be 2:00 p. m. , Friday, November 22, 2013 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Dickinson. Burial will follow in St. Wenceslaus Cemetery. Visitation for Richard will be 1:00 p. m. – 5:00 p. m. Thursday, November 21, 2013 at Stevenson Funeral Home. Visitation will continue on Friday from 8:00 a. m. to 12:00 p. m. at Stevenson Funeral Home with a Rosary taking place at 12:30 p. m. Richard passed away Friday, November 15, 2013 at Sanford Health in Bismarck, ND. Richard Anton Dolecheck was born on July 8, 1937 in Dickinson, son of August F. and Abalonia (Miller) Dolecheck. He was raised and educated in Dickinson and at the Commercial Trades Institute of Chicago, IL. At the age of thirteen, Richard began working for farmers in the area. In 1956, he went to work for the Dickinson Coal Mine. On October 17, 1959, Richard was united in marriage to Winifred Ann Kadrmas at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Dickinson. Richard was drafted into the U. S. Army in 1961. After his honorable discharge in 1963, he started working for Royal Oak Briquetting Plant and continued to work there for the next 33 years. Richard also did contract work for Precision Machine and other business in Dickinson. Richard enjoyed woodworking, fishing, gardening, and collecting mugs and John Deere tractors. Richard is survived by two brothers, David (Loretta) Dolecheck of Sheridan, WY, Arnold (Claudia) Dolecheck of Montgomery, AL; one sister-in-law Mae Henderson of Lakeland, FL; several nieces and nephews and special friends Larry and Janet Lucas of Bismarck, ND. He is preceded in death by his parents, August and Abalonia; wife, Winifred; and two infant brothers.
