A funeral Mass for Richard Jordan, 47, of Dickinson will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, July 21, 2017 at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Dickinson. Burial will take place in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.


Visitation for Richard will be from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, July 20, at Stevenson Funeral Home with a rosary and vigil service taking place at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will continue on Friday, July 21 from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home.


Richard passed away Saturday, July 15, 2017.


Richard Lee Jordan was born March 24, 1970 in Elgin, ND the son of Marie (Dengel) and Lawrence Jordan, Sr. He grew up in the Mott and Richardton areas. His family moved to Dickinson when Richard was eight years old and he attended Dickinson Public Schools. He worked for Sergio’s Mexican Restaurant, GTA feed plant, and A1 Welding/Praxair before establishing a career in mechanics. On July 25, 1992 Richard and Tracy Renner were united in marriage in Dickinson, ND. To this union two daughters were born: BreAnna “Bree” and Hailey. Richard was the former owner of K & K Transmission and RT Rentals.


From the age of 16, Richard loved competing and watching his daughters race in stock car races, drag races, and demolition derby’s. He loved to spend time outdoors working on his cars, fishing and flying his powered parachute.


Richard is survived by wife, Tracy Jordan; daughters, BreAnna “Bree” Jordan and Hailey Jordan both of Dickinson; mother, Marie Jordan of Dickinson; brothers, Lawrence Jordan, Jr., Lyle Jordan, and Michael Jordan, all of Dickinson; father-in-law, Ron (Sharon) Renner of Dickinson; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.


He was preceded in death by his father, Lawrence Jordan, Sr.; mother-in-law, Twila (Renner) Burk; and grandparents.
