Rita McClellan

Funeral Mass for Rita McClellan, 51, of Dickinson, will be 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 3, 2021 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Dickinson with Father Bill Ruelle celebrating.

Visitation for Rita will be from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 3, 2021 at Stevenson Funeral Home.

Rita McClellan (Schinnert) passed away after her long battle against cancer on February 26, 2021, at her home.

Rita was born on June 5, 1969 to Leona (Brown) and Ray Schinnert. She was the only child of Ray and Leona. Rita attended and graduated from Park Rapids Area High School in 1987, Park Rapids, MN. After graduation she attended college in Hibbing, MN, where she graduated with a degree in Business Management.

Rita and her family moved to Dickinson, ND in January 1994. Rita worked at the hospital for 10 years and then worked in the legal field for 15 years.

Rita married Dale McClellan on August 21, 2009. Rita enjoyed spending time with her husband, family, and friends. She also enjoyed trips to Florida, riding motorcycle, and fishing.

Rita will be deeply missed by her husband of 11 years Dale; her children Chad Cianni, Mickaela Cianni (Johnathon Norrish), Jade Cianni and Julia McClellan; her grandchildren Jackson Norrish and Jayden Norrish; her cousin/sister Cheryl Roberts; her mother Leona Schinnert.

Rita is preceded in death by her father Ray Schinnert and her grandmother Althea Lussier.

The family wishes to thank all those who helped Rita and her family during her long battle with cancer.
