Rita Reisenauer

A Funeral Mass for Rita Reisenauer, 83, of Dickinson, will be 2:00 pm, Thursday, September 5, 2024, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Dickinson with Father Keith Streifel celebrating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.

 Visitation for Rita will be 5:00 pm, - 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 4, 2024 at Stevenson Funeral Home with a rosary and vigil service being held at 6:00 pm.

 Rita passed away Thursday, August 29, 2024 at CHI St. Alexius Health in Dickinson. 

 Rita Wandler was born July 12, 1941 in Stark County, ND, the daughter of John A. and Elizabeth (Barth) Wandler. She grew up and attended St. Joseph’s Elementary School and Dickinson High School. On September 29, 1962, Rita was united in marriage to Arnold Reisenauer at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. To this union, Brenda, Dean and Brian were born. Rita went to work for Sak News, working there for 16 years. She was also a volunteer at St. Joseph’s Hospital for eight years. In her pastime, Rita enjoyed reading, traveling, dancing, Rock-n-Roll 50’s and “Elvis” music. She had a special love for animals and family was very important to Rita.

Rita was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church and Christian Mother’s and a member of the Prairie Cruisers,

 Rita is survived by her daughter, Brenda (Larry) Sand of Dickinson; son, Brian (Dawn) Reisenauer of Dickinson; three grandchildren, Nicole, Mathew, and Alex; four sisters, Arilda McMillan of Helena, MT, Cecelia Koppinger of Bismarck, Bev Mato, and Susie (Kelvin) Splichal both of Dickinson.

 She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Arnold “Ike” Reisenauer; her parents, John & Elizabeth Wandler; son, Dean Reisenauer; and brother, Jimmey Wandler.
