Robert Bagley

A Funeral Service for Robert L. Bagley, 78 of Marmarth, ND will be at 11:00 a. m. on Friday, March 8, 2013 in the Chapel of Stevenson Funeral Home in Baker, MT. Interment will follow in the Tuttle Cemetery at Rhame, ND. Visitation will be 5:00 p. m. to 8:00 p. m. on Thursday, March 7th at Stevenson Funeral Home in Baker and will continue on Friday from 9:00 a. m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a. m. Robert passed away on Saturday, March 2, 2013, at St. Vincent Healthcare in Billings, MT. Robert LeRoy Bagley was born on April 1, 1934 at his grandparents homestead south of Bowman, ND, a son of John Francis and Arlene Margaret (Bagley) Bagley. He attended the Mud Butte country school where his mother taught school. After the eighth grade, Bob worked on the family farm, and later he learned the trade of seismograph, which took him to Lovington, NM. While working there, Bob met his loving wife, Wanda June Boss, the daughter of Leroy and Ruby Boss. Bob and June were married on May 2, 1953 in Lovington. To this union they were blessed with six children: Sheryll, Debra, Robert, Janet, Randy and Robin. Following their marriage, Bob and June returned to North Dakota where Bob worked on his parent?s farm. Throughout the years Bob held many jobs in the oilfield; owning his own trucking business and working for the Milwaukee Railroad. Bob enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, and lived life to the fullest. He enjoyed playing music with his father, John in the ?Bagley Orchestra?. Later on Bob had his own band, ?Bob and the Strangers?. He enjoyed playing and singing anywhere he got the chance. His retirement years were spent at his home in Marmarth where he enjoyed playing and listening to music and sitting in front of the ?Tube?. He was always waiting for his next visit from his many children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Bob is survived by his wife, June, of Marmarth; his children, Sheryll (Fred) Ford, Bowman, ND, Debra (John) Williamson, Marmarth, ND, Robert (Sharron) Bagley, Hysham, MT, Janet (Rodney) Hanson, Baker, MT, Randy (Kim) Bagley, Gillette, WY and Robin (Lori) Bagley, Bozeman, MT; 32 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Arlene Bagley, his sister, Louise Jergenson and two grandchildren, Billy Joe Bagley and James Robert Bagley.
