Robert “Bob” Cox Funeral Services for Robert “Bob” Cox are 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 13, 2005 at American Lutheran Church in Baker, Montana, with Pastor Avis Anderson officiating. Visitation will be Friday, August 12, 2005 at 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. at Stevenson Funeral Home in Baker. Interment will follow at Bonnievale Cemetery in Baker. Bob, 81, of Baker, MT passed away Tuesday, August 9, 2005 in Helena, MT. Robert Cox was born August 21, 1923 the youngest child of Urvin W.E. and Bergetta ?Bertha? Gunderson Cox on the family farm in Knobbs, MT. Bob grew up and attended local country grade schools and graduated from Baker High School in 1941. Bob attended Montana State College in Bozeman until commitments on the family ranch brought him back home. Bob married Virginia Geving on July 3, 1945 in Baker. Bob and Virginia made their home on the Cox family ranch where they started their own family, and were blessed with four children. They continued to live on the ranch for the next fifty plus years. When they retired they spent their summers in Helena, MT and winters in Yuma, AZ. Bob and Virginia were very blessed to have celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on July 3, 2005. Bob loved fishing, playing cards, telling stories, but most of all, spending time with his family and taking trips to the ranch. He loved to visit with friends and family and was not afraid to voice his political views. He is survived by his wife, Virginia; two sons: Doug (Susan) Cox, Baker, MT; Bob (Karen) Cox, Sunlakes, AZ; two daughters: Sharrie (Pat) Corey, Chandler, AZ; Lynn (Fred) Scott, Butte, MT; one brother: Wayne (Gladys) Cox, Helena, MT; ten grandchildren: Rob and Danae Cox; Aaron, Kristin, Justin and Andrea Corey; LeAnn (Dan) Ferriter Jill (Brian) Michelotti, Terri (Justin) Balkenbush, Stefanie Scott; and twelve great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers: Ed and Dan Cox; two sisters: Ariel McClain and Viola Sandy. Bob will be greatly missed by his family and friends. The family requests that memorials be sent to a charity of the donor?s choice.
