    Robert J. Chorne, 83, Dickinson, died Friday, May 27, 2005 at St. Joseph?s Hospital and Health Center, Dickinson. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a. m. , Tuesday, May 31, 2005 at St. Patrick?s Catholic Church, Dickinson, with Fr. Austin Vetter celebrating. Interment will be in Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery, New Hradec. Visitation will be 9 a. m. to 9 p. m. , Monday, May 30, 2005 at Price-Murphy Funeral Home with a rosary being said at 7 p. m. Robert J. Chorne was born July 19, 1921 in Boone, Iowa to John and Otillia (Vorak) Chorne. The family moved to North Dakota to farm the family homestead. He attended school in South Heart and graduated in 1939. Robert married Mary Buresh on August 31, 1943 at Sts. Peter and Paul Church in New Hradec. He and Mary farmed the original farmstead until 1972, when they moved to Dickinson. Robert was a member of Knights of Columbus, Catholic Workmen, and German-Hungarian. He served on the South Heart School Board and the South Heart Farmer?s Elevator Board. He loved listening to Czech music, singing, was an avid sportsman, enjoyed watching sports, traveling and gardening. Robert J. Chorne is survived by: his wife, Mary, Dickinson; two sons, Donavan and Robert D. ?Boe? (Katie Seversen) Chorne, of Dickinson; three daughters, JoAnne (Ron Wehner) Chorne, Bakersfield, Calif. , Roberta Wolf and Sharon ?Sherri? (A. James) Privratsky, of Dickinson; three brothers, Vincent Chorne, New Providence, IA, Laudie (Verna) Chorne, Bismarck and Ray (Marlene) Chorne, South Heart; two sisters, Louise Gilbert, Seaside, Ore. and Jan (Henry) Frank, Dickinson; one step-sister, Edith Jedlicka, Appleton, Wisc. ; one step-brother, Ludwig (Cecilia) Buresh, Dickinson; five grandchildren, Justin, Denise, Brian and Sara Chorne and Jeff Privratsky; three great-grandchildren, Ian and Luke Chorne and Ethan Churchill and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by: his parents, one son, John, one sister, three brothers and one step-sister.
